{Lauren & James Cree} 1 April 2017 {The Ryebeck Hotel, Bowness-On-Windermere}

I love spring time, the flowers start to appear, the birds are singing and we get glimpses of gorgeous sunshine. Saturday 1st April was a typical spring day and the day that Lauren & James chose to get married.

The Ryebeck, their venue was the perfect setting for the celebrations. I joined Lauren and her bridesmaids getting ready. Everyone was so relaxed and calm and the atmosphere was lovely.

The day started with typical Lake District weather – you could just and so see the Lake but the view was still beautiful.

I began capturing all the little details while the girls put the finishing touches to the hair and make up.

I love capturing little moments like this. The girls all helped each other getting ready and everything fell into place.

James waited patiently at the top of the aisle with his Best Man. Also putting the finishing touches in place!

The ceremony was held in the conservatory, which was beautiful.

The sun just started to appear from behind the clouds and filtered into the room while Lauren and James said their vows.

I love being able to capture the bride walking down the aisle. Such a beautiful moment and lovely to look back on.

These two smiled all the way through their vows and ceremony.

Welcome drinks were served in the lounge as all their guests congratulated the new Mr & Mrs Cree

With the sun now shining we made our way outside for some family photographs.

One of my favourites from the day – this little girl loved playing in the garden and collecting all the confetti.

I’m not 100% sure what’s happening just before this family photo but it makes me laugh and I love it!

Confetti time!

We left guests enjoying the sunshine and drinks while we took a little trip to the Lake shore for some photographs.

The setting was perfect and worth the trip to get these extra special pictures.

The reception room was decorated beautifully. The flowers were stunning and the homemade cake stood proud.

Lauren & James chose Grasmere Gingerbread as their wedding favours which was a lovely local idea.

Time for the speeches! A perfect time for me to capture all the reactions and emotions of the guests.

While the room was being transformed for the evening reception we took the opportunity to get some extra photos in the evening light.

These are some of my favourites from the day.

After cutting the cake it was time to take to the dance floor!

Lauren & James started with their first dance but it wasn’t long before they were joined by family and friends.

It’s always a pleasure to capture and share a Wedding. Lauren & James made us feel so welcome and we felt like one of the guests.

Huge thank you to Vienna for second shooting & also to the Ryebeck for the best wedding food I think I’ve ever had!
