{Sam & Jess Miller} Belmount Hall, Hawkshead {24 September 2016}

Jess & Sam decided on the beautiful Belmount Hall to get married in September last year. The Autumn colours had begun to change and created the perfect setting.

I met with Jess at her parents home to capture everyone getting ready. There was a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Jess had chosen a lovely short dress which was made for spinning round!

The morning flew by and everyone was ready in plenty of time. It was lovely capturing the moment Jess saw her Dad.

With the weather behaving we went outside for some family photographs before leaving for the venue. The flowers looked stunning.

Belmount is one of my favourite wedding venues in the Lake District. It’s simple and elegant décor makes the perfect base for any occasion.

As I arrived I joined Sam with his Brother and Dad as they shared some whisky and waited to greet the arrival of guests.

While Jess arrived and waited patiently with her bridesmaids and Dad… in the Ceremony Room little did she know the Great Escape was happening!

Hand in hand with her Dad, Jess walked down the aisle to meet Sam.

The ceremony was beautiful and the readings had everyone in tears – even me and the registrar!

Officially Mr & Mrs Miller!

Jess & Sam led the way back outside to be congratulated by all their guests.

Just Champagne, Confetti and lots of happy faces 🙂

We took some family photographs on the front lawn before Jess & Sam had a walk around the grounds for their photographs.

Jess & Sam met over 7 years ago and it was lovely to re-visit that very spot on their wedding day…  Monk Coniston.

With the Coniston fells and the Lake as a background it couldn’t have been more perfect.

…and of course we had to get Jess spinning in her dress 🙂

Back at Belmount the Reception room was all ready and guests began to get seated for the meal and speeches.

The cakes were all homemade by family and looked amazing!

The speeches were a perfect opportunity for me to capture the reactions, smiles and stories that were told.

After the speeches, we cut the cake and then went straight onto the dance floor to begin the evening.

It was great to see everyone up joining Jess & Sam 🙂

Thank you so much to Jess & Sam for asking me to capture their day. It was a pleasure and so lovely to be able to take photographs at the place they met.

I hope you like the blog post and it reminds you of the brilliant day everyone shared.
