{Lizzie & Robert Browne} Briery Woods Hotel, Troutbeck, Windermere {10 September 2016}

Lizzie & Rob got married at the Briery Woods hotel near Windermere. With both of their loves for the outdoors it was the perfect setting. They managed to fit so much into their day including running, orienteering, a walk to the lake shore….oh and they got married too!

Here is a collection from their day.

I joined Lizzie as she got ready at the hotel with her Mum and Bridesmaids. It’s pretty impressive when you arrive and they tell you they have already been on a 7 mile run!

But for the rest of the day it was time to swop the running shoes for wedding shoes!

While Lizzie got her hair and make up done the bridesmaids went to decorate the reception room.

The cake was made by one of the guests and looked (and smelt) amazing!

Rob, his best men and ushers soon arrived (some of which had also been on a run) before arriving! See a theme here?

Lizzie’s nieces and flower girls were as good as gold all day. They were especially excited when the time came to put their dresses on!

Final preparations started to take place, & it would soon be time for Lizzie to see Rob.

Lizzie looked amazing in her dress and it was lovely to capture the moment her Dad saw her.

A friend and guest played the flute as guests congregated and Lizzie walked hand in hand down the aisle with her Dad.

Smiles all around as Lizzie and Rob met at the top of the aisle to say their vows.

A family poem was read out by Sarah which was a lovely personal touch.

Officially Mr & Mrs Browne!

I do love confetti shots, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much confetti flying around! I think Rob’s drink was undrinkable by the end. Brilliant moment!

As guests congratulated Mr & Mrs Browne we were entertained by Bagpipes. There was a lovely atmosphere.

We took some family group photographs in the grounds before going down to the lake shore.

The walk down to the lake was beautiful. Thick with trees, a river and a lovely National Trust Property.

I knew Lizzie & Rob wanted to capture the mountains in their photographs so this was the perfect backdrop.

We even found an old rowing boat, although a little rocky!

Back at the reception guests began getting seated for the meal and speeches.

Happy faces all around!

The speeches had everyone laughing, crying and enjoying stories told by family and friends.

We even had some singing!

With the sun beginning to set it was the perfect time to capture some very special photographs.

We went into the field behind the hotel to capture the view in all it’s glory!

The light was soft and hazy which made lovely photographs.

It was the perfect time for Lizzie and Rob to look around and take in their special day together.

Joined by willing guests we took some more group photos.

As we made our way back down to the hotel it was time for Lizzie to throw her bouquet!

Only for a guy to catch it! haha

Orienteering was next on the agenda! It was great to capture guests working their way around the course.

With the evening guests arrived it was time for Mr & Mrs Browne to share their first dance as Husband and Wife.

They impressed everyone with a brilliant routine!

and it wasn’t long before their guests joined them on the dance floor. With some classic songs everyone was up for dancing!

I’m sure the party lasted long into the night!

It was a pleasure to share and capture Lizzie & Rob’s Day. It was lovely looking back on the photographs to create this blog – and such a fun filled day.

Thank you
