{Mr & Mrs Fountain} Pennington Church & The Brown Horse Inn Winster {14 August 2015}

Hollie & Jon’s Lake District Wedding

Where do I possibly start?! In summary it was amazing and this is why…

Hollie got ready at her family home in Pennington just around the corner from the church. The atmosphere was relaxed & happy as I captured the girls getting ready. Everything was organised and the time that everyone had put into the planning of the Wedding shone through.

The girls had smiles on their faces all morning but it was lovely to capture this moment they spent together with a glass of champagne!

Hollies’ dress hung beautifully in the hallway and it wasn’t long before it was time to put it on.

Hollies’ Mum and Bridesmaids helped her into her dress but it’s this photograph below that I love. It captures all the detail of the dress with Hollie’s engagement ring too.

What a moment! Hollie’s Dad waited paitently at the bottom of the stairs to see his daughter.

It was a beautiful moment to capture and lovely to look back on for years to come.

If not a little emotional!

Soon after I met up with Jon and his Best Men at the church.

The rain was still pouring but that didn’t stop a quick trip to the car for a last drink 🙂 Dutch courage?!

The Church looked beautiful and the entrance was decorated with fresh flowers and handmade signs.

The boys looked very smart as they welcomed guests into the church.

Arriving in style! Hollie appeared out of the back of her 4×4 transport!

You can’t let rain spoil your wedding day… and Hollie certainly didn’t. Just look at that smile!

One last photo as Miss Brown!

It was lovely to be able to capture Hollie walking down the aisle hand in hand with her Dad, and Jon waiting patiently at the top.

Everyone watched as Hollie & Jon said their vows and exchanged rings.

I love how happy they both look as they walk down the aisle hand in hand as Mr & Mrs Fountain.

The rain still wasn’t letting up but that didn’t stop everyone congregating outside the church to congratulate the happy couple.

I love capturing moments like this… they can be so easily missed with the hustle and bustle.

With an arch of umbrellas it was confetti time!

I love the way the rain added character and atmosphere to Hollie & Jon’s photos.

Setting off to their Wedding Reception in Winster in style.

But not before their guests got their photo too!

As we arrived at the Brown Horse at Winster for Hollie & Jon’s Reception is was clear again all the time and special details that had gone into the planning.

Local Gin was served for welcome drinks and went down a treat!

A Lakeland buffet for all too!

Even in the rain, I loved how keen and happy guests were to join in on the group photograph.

These two didn’t mind a few rain drops!

Inside tables were decorated with wild flowers and homemade jams for favours.

The speeches entertained everyone…especially with the “challenge”

After the meal it was time to capture some photographs of Hollie & Jon.

When I met up with them both before the Wedding they told me that they wanted to capture the Lake District and surroundings in their photographs.

As we walked down the country lanes surrounding their Reception we found some perfect picture opportunities which did just that!

Spending their weekends walking their dogs, walking paths just like these, it was great to be able to capture moments like this on their wedding day too.

Back at the Inn guests enjoyed the break in the rain and socialised outside.

Time to cut the cake!

To kick start the evening cheese and biscuits were served with Hollie’s AMAZING homemade Chutneys and Jam!

With a live band for entertainment, Hollie & Jon took to the dance floor for their first dance.

I could have stayed all night capturing guests on the dance floor, I’m sure everyone had a fantastic night.

It was such a pleasure to capture Hollie & Jon’s day.

The details were handmade, The people were lovely, the rain brought character but most importantly Hollie & Jon were fantastic!

Thank you so much for letting me be part of your day.
