{Katie & Oliver Lupton} 20 June 2015 {Holy Trinity Church Millom & Chequers Hotel Dalton}

Katie & Oliver got married in the middle of summer… it was meant to be a sunny June day! However the typical British weather didn’t want to perform and the day began with rain. They do say that rain on your wedding day is good luck though!

What I loved about Katie & Oliver was that they embraced it and we managed to get some photographs at Furness Abbey which they will cherish for ever!

I met with Katie at her family home in Millom while preparations were in full swing!

There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and everyone had a smile on their face 🙂

Nicole Slater did Katie, her bridesmaids and her Mum’s hair and make up and did a wonderful job. Everyone looked beautiful.

This little cutie was as good as gold all morning and especially enjoyed putting on her special dress ready for church!

It was soon time for Katie to put her dress on too!

Holy Trinity Church looks lovely any day, It has so much character and I do love taking photographs there.

With guests sheltering inside, I managed to capture a few photos of Oliver and his Best Man waiting patiently outside church.

and not forgetting this little man too!

It wasn’t long before the girls arrived, followed by Katie and her Dad.

I love capturing the bride and her father just before they enter church and the groom standing at the top of the aisle. So many emotions and feelings are packed into these few minutes and its photos like this that really capture the moment.

Both full of smiles as they officially become Mr & Mrs Lupton!

Quick photo in the car before setting off to their Reception at Chequers Hotel.

I really do think the rain brings a lovely atmosphere to these photos – thank you again for braving the rain for these, I think it was worth it 🙂

When the rain had stopped we made a quick dash outside to take some group photographs.

I do love a good confetti photo too!

Inside Chequers makes a lovely backdrop and as guests were congratulating the happy couple and toasting with champagne it gave me the perfect opportunity to capture the guests.

Katie & Oliver had chosen a deep blue theme which looked lovely inside the venue.

Oliver had even given Katie a blue watch as a gift on the morning of the wedding which looked beautiful!

Time for the speeches and one of my favourite parts of the day to photograph!

With the rain disappeared and the evening just beginning we took the opportunity to get some more photographs in the grounds.

I love this collection below, Katie & Oliver look so happy and natural together.

As the evening guests arrived it was time for the new Mr & Mrs Lupton to take to the dance floor for their first dance!

Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. It was a pleasure to be part of and I hope you will be reminded what a brilliant day you had when looking back through your photographs for years to come.
