{India & Tom Polkinghorn} 13 June 2015 {Ulpha Church & Grizebeck Hall}

India & Tom got married on a lovely summers day in June. They chose Ulpha Church where India’s Mum & Dad also got married to hold their ceremony, then onto Grizebeck Hall for their reception. It was a day filled with love, laughter, a vintage bike, and a perfect stop off for photos in the woods and by the river!

I joined India while she was getting ready at her family home.

India’s dress hung beautifully in the window but looked even more beautiful on!

One of my favourite moments to capture at weddings is the genuine happiness and emotion. It was lovely to be able to capture the moment India’s Mum & Bridesmaids saw her in her dress.

With the sun shining and everyone nearly ready we made use of the colourful garden for some photographs.

India’s Mum had not only made all the bouquets but grow a lot of the flowers herself too. It was a lovely personal touch.

As I pulled up to the church I couldn’t help but capture this photograph. This was my first wedding at Ulpha church and I’m already looking forward to going back.

No nerves here! Tom and his best men looking cool and calm.

Arriving in style in the family Triumph!

India sharing her last moments as a Ratcliffe!

Tom waited patiently at the top of the aisle – he couldn’t keep the smile off his face!

The church was intimate and light and the ceremony full of love, laughter and happy tears!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Polkinghorn!

Confetti & Congratulations all round!

Just a quick trip down the road from the church we took the opportunity to stop for some photographs of the bridal party by the river!

I love this photo of India! It’s one of those photos that sums up part of the day.

Of course, a trip to the river wouldn’t be complete without a paddle. I’m surprised the boys weren’t in too!

Down from the river and into the woods we took some photographs of the new Mr & Mrs Polkinghorn. The trees made a brilliant backdrop.

India & Tom has spent a lot of hours before the wedding preparing all the little details and centre pieces. The hall was transformed and looked amazing! Fresh flowers created the entrance, the wood centre pieces gave a rustic feel and the vintage bike made the perfect prop for photos!

The catering was provided by the brilliant Satty’sfaction then after that were the speeches! I captured so many natural photographs and we weren’t short jokes, stories and happy memories shared by the top table.

Just before I left I took India & Tom out into the field for some last photos. The evening sunlight shone but more importantly the happiness and love these two shared shone brighter!

Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. It was a pleasure to be part of and I hope these photographs bring back lots of happy memories.
