{Chloe & John Falconer} Our Lady and St. James Church, Millom & Belmount Hall, Hawkshead {4 October 2014}

Having gone through secondary school with Chloe I was really happy and excited when she asked if I was available to photograph her and John’s Wedding day.

After meeting up with them both prior to the day I could tell a lot of thought and preparation had gone into making it a day to remember.

I met Chloe while she was getting ready at her family home surrounded by her family and bridesmaids.

Unfortunately the rain was batting down, but we didn’t let it dampen the mood!

The girls had a lovely morning filled with laughter. John had even organised a present for Chloe to open during the morning!

As I captured all the little details, there were smiles all round as the girls got their hair and make up done. Georgie made sure the dresses were in immaculate condition!

All ready to go the boys made their way to the church!

With just a few finishing touches to do it was time to put on the dress!

As I arrived at church all the boys were welcoming guests inside. The rain had stopped and the sun and blue sky was appearing.

There was no need to ask John to smile for the camera! I think he was pretty excited!

Soon after the girls arrived… their dresses, flowers, shoes, nails even jewellery looked perfectly matched!

The colours just looked beautiful and the flowers had a perfect twist of autumn!

They all waited patiently for the arrival of Chloe and her Dad.

Maybe a little bit of nerves kicking in now John?!

I love capturing photographs in the church.

I’m always so grateful when I am allowed to capture the moment as the Bride and her Dad walk down the aisle and that first glance between the couple at the top! To me these are some of the most important parts of the day!

With the choir filling the church with sound it was lovely to hear everyone singing along!

It was time for Chloe & John to say their vows and exchange rings… with the help from their very special ring barer!

It’s official!….now Mr & Mrs Falconer!

The archway looked beautiful decorated with flowers as they came out of the church as Husband and Wife!

I love a good confetti photo! The smiles on their faces sums up what a happy couple they are!

As Chloe and John led the way to their reception I followed them. Our original plan was to stop at the Hill for a photo across the estuary. I knew this was an important photograph for them and when we decided that it would be too wet to go I immediately starting thinking what else we could do!

At an all important drink stop at the garage in Coniston  I hopped out and asked Chloe and John if they would be up for stopping near Coniston Lake for some photographs of the two of them. I’m so glad we did, they are some of my favourites from their day.

As the sun shone and water glistened we could see a darker cloud fast approaching! We made a dash for the trees and just about made it back to the car before the heavens opened!

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons. The colours and light are perfect for photographs!

We arrived at Belmont Hall in Hawkshead as the sun had reappeared!

As guests enjoyed drinks and canapés I captured some natural photographs.

With the sun shining through the trees it was a perfect time to get everyone outside for some group and family photographs.

Chloe & John decorated the dining room with lots of little details. They had homemade Sloe Gin for the boys and Macaroons for the girls!

As the guests sat down to eat I went outside to capture the last of the light with the wedding rings 🙂

When I joined everyone back inside, everywhere I looked there were smiles and laughter!

The speeches began and it was the perfect opportunity to capture some natural photographs.

As the evening guests arrived the room was lit up with beautiful lights. It created a lovely atmosphere.

Chloe and John took to the dance floor for their first dance as Husband and Wife!

It certainly wasn’t long before they were joined by all their family and friends!

It was an absolute pleasure to capture Chloe & John’s Wedding day. I was made to feel so welcome and enjoyed every minute. I didn’t want to leave so I made sure I stayed for a dance too!

I hope that you enjoy looking through your photographs for many years to come and they bring back lots of happy and special memories!
