{Alex & Daniel Vandome} 23 August 2014 {St. Mary’s Church Dalton & Crooklands}

We have had a beautiful summer this year and Alex & Danny got married on one of the warm, sunny August days. They held their service at St. Mary’s Church in Dalton and reception at Crooklands Garden Centre.

I met up with Alex and her bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding while they were all getting ready.

Danny had given Alex this personalised necklace below as a present, it was beautiful and so thoughtful!

One of my favourite moments from the morning was when Alex’s Dad arrived at the house and asked where his tie was… the response was “I gave it to you in a bag a few days ago” and this was his reaction, priceless!

As I arrived at St. Mary’s, Daniel and his groomsmen were welcoming guests into church.

The church is set in such beautiful grounds with flowers all around and a perfect shaded area for photographs.

As the boys took there position inside the girls began to arrive, shortly followed by Alex and her Dad.

When  I met up with Alex & Danny before the wedding they told me that there were strict rules in the church about photography. It was a shame that I wasn’t able to capture their ceremony but these next collection of photographs really sum up their service. I was so pleased I managed to take them.

As they walked out of church as Husband and Wife everyone came to congratulate the happy couple!

We decided to stop off at Furness Abbey on the way to the reception for some couple photos. As the church service was at 2pm, the softer afternoon light shone perfectly for them.

As we arrived at Crooklands, I captured all the beautiful details in the reception room. The tables were named after beers and decorated with country garden flowers. The cake was made by the talented Donna Corr and looked beautiful with the real flowers breaking up the tiers.

You could tell that so much thought had gone into everything. The handmade jam pots for favours were even made by the bride herself!

As the adults enjoyed welcome drinks it didn’t take long for the children to find things to do either!

The speeches were filled with laughter, tears and happy memories. It was lovely to capture all the reactions and smiling faces!

With the sun setting on a beautiful day I took Alex & Danny out into a close by field for some more photographs.

It was the perfect time to come out as the light was soft and warm. These are some of my favourite photographs from their day.

Every wedding day seems to go quickly, and I’m sure the Bride and Groom would agree. I really didn’t want Alex & Danny’s day to end. It was a pleasure to capture and be apart of.

As they took to the floor for their first dance you could tell how happy and in love they both were.

I can’t wait to design their album and see their photographs in print!

I hope you look back on your photographs for many years to come and they bring back lots of happy memories from your special day.
