{Mr & Mrs Cuthbert} St Anne’s Church, Thwaites & Ski Bar Haverigg {4 July 2014}

Nicola & James got married on Friday 4th July at St Anne’s Church at Thwaites followed by their reception at the Ski Bar in Haverigg.

For the days leading up to their wedding I was checking the forecast, hoping that the planned rain would disappear. With Nicola and her bridesmaids getting ready at the family home they enjoyed a relaxed morning getting ready. Nicola’s signature Ray Bans were sure to make an appearance despite the showers!

Nicola looked beautiful in her vintage dress. She was so laid back and relaxed all morning.

The rain stopped perfectly for Nicola’s arrival at the Church with her Dad. They even managed to have the top down on the car for their journey. Nicola’s Dad filmed the trip on a GoPro video camera and then played it back at the reception later in the day. It was a lovely idea and will be great to look back on in the future!

Sadly I wasn’t able to take photographs during the ceremony but I managed to capture a few of Nicola & James saying their vows from the back of the church.

I loved capturing some of their face expressions as they were saying their vows to each other. Especially when they turned round to look at all of their guests!

It’s official… Mr & Mrs Cuthbert!

It wasn’t until Nicola & James came back down the aisle that I realised that their dog was watching in the congregation and ready to give them their first welcome as they walked away as Husband & Wife!

With the rain still coming down it was a quick kiss in the doorway before making our way to James’s parents house for photographs.

The house was a perfect place for family photographs, we were so lucky to be able to use it.

Once all the family photos were complete I took Nicola & James away to get some of the two of them. They couldn’t stop smiling…or pulling faces at each other!

The Ski Bar looked amazing! It was decorated with fairy lights, flowers and props. It had a lovely warm and cosy feel as guests congratulated the happy couple and sheltered from the rain.

Nicola really did look amazing!

Time for the speeches! They certainly provided lots of laughter, tears and toasts!

With a live singer it certainly provided a brilliant atmosphere to begin the night and it wasn’t long before people took to the dance floor.

Despite the rain we had a brilliant day and I was sad to leave Nicola & James Wedding. I’m sure the party carried on in style!
