{Mr & Mrs Tyson} Crosthwaite Church & The Merewood {21 June 2014}

Rachel & Robin picked a beautiful summers day to get married, they couldn’t have asked for better weather to become Mr & Mrs Tyson.

While Rachel was getting ready at the family home with her bridesmaids and parents, Robin met family and guests at the Punch Bowl pub before making his way down to Crosthwaite Church. The service was beautiful and filled with laughter, tears and love. I really appreciate it when the vicar holding the service lets me take photographs, it allows me to capture one of the keys parts to the day and the very moment the couple become Husband and Wife.

Rachel & Robin received such a lovely welcome as they came out of the church, their confetti photo really sums up the happiness they share. With the beautiful backdrop from the church grounds we took some group photos before waving the couple off in their beautiful vintage car.

On our way to the reception we stopped at the Wateredge for photographs on the jetty. With Lake Windermere behind it was a stunning setting and worth the audience of swans and tourists standing by to watch!

Rachel & Robin had their wedding reception at the Merewood Hotel, as they pulled up all their guests were waiting to welcome the happy couple. With the perfect gardens we were spoilt for choice for photographs and everyone enjoyed socialising outside in the sun.

Inside the hotel it was just as perfect, with a mix of old characterful rooms and the bright and elegant reception room it wasn’t such a shame to come inside from the hot summer sun. As well as the ceremony I love to capture the speeches… Robin’s best “men” defiantly put on a good show! With the World Cup taking place at the same time each of the wedding tables took guesses on how long the speeches would last!

After the meal and with the beautiful evening light slowly disappearing it was the perfect time to take Rachel & Robin back out for their couples photos. We had a walk around the gardens of the hotel, this soft and glowing light made some of my favourite photographs from the day.

As Rachel & Robin’s took to the dance floor for their first dance I was sure that I was going to be leaving a good party behind!
