{Mr & Mrs Varty} St Mary Magdalene’s Church, Broughton-in-Furness & Low Wood Bay, Windermere {3 May 2014}

Saturday 3rd May 2014… the day two of our best friends got married… & what a brilliant day it was!

I think I did more preparation for this wedding than I have for my own!

Lynsey began the day getting ready with her two bridesmaids, Mum and nephews, while Guy shared a pint with the boys and his parents at the family pub.

As guests and friends from the village congregated at the church Lynsey walked down the aisle with her Grandfather by her side ready to become Mrs Varty!

A quick stop off at the family pub for their first drink as Husband & Wife we then made our way to Yew Tree Tarn near Coniston for some photographs.

When Lynsey was planning her wedding and described parts to me, one thing stuck in my mind – it was going to be very PINK!!!! When I saw everything come together on the day it looked beautiful. The colour was lovely & bright and stood out perfectly on the photographs.

We arrived at the stunning Low Wood Bay Hotel for the reception and were welcomed by the musician Tom Jarvis (http://www.tomjarvismusic.co.uk/)

We then sat down to enjoy the wedding breakfast accompanied by a harpist. The sound was beautiful and it brought a great atmosphere to the room.

After four brilliant speeches filled with laughter, tears and emotion we went out for some photographs on the jetty before the evening entertainment began.

I would like to say a big thank you to Erin Browne for helping me capture part of the day & also to Byron Mitchell who gets the award for the more helpful bestman towards a photographer 😛

Guy & Lynsey’s wedding was always going to be a very special day and one that will stay in my mind for a very long time. I’m so glad that I took their photographs for them & was also able to share their day as one of their closest friends too!  I hope you both look through your photographs and it brings back all the happiness and memories of your day….

Best wishes to the new Mr & Mrs Varty!

These are lovely images, I love the one of the little boy looking up at the dress and the couples shots on the pier. The speeches look like they were both fun and emotional- you can really see that you enjoyed taking these photographs.
