{Nina & Tom Russell} The Villa, Wrea Green {6 July 2013}

I first met Nina & Tom last year as I had been recommended by a family friend. After hearing their plans about their wedding and Tom’s proposal in the Lake District I was really pleased when they chose to book me.

We met up earlier this year to do their Pre Wedding Shoot at the very point that they got engaged. It was a misty day by the shores of Lake Windermere but we had a great afternoon taking photographs.

On Saturday 6th July at The Villa in Wrea Green Nina & Tom got married. It was a beautiful hot, sunny day with lots of fun, laughter and emotion.

With Bacon buns and coffee on arrival it was a lovely relaxed morning. Nina and her bridesmaids were getting ready in one of the bedrooms and her dress hang beautifully in the window.

Once the hairdressers had done the final touches and the make up was applied it was time for Nina to get into her dress…

The photo above is one of my favourites from the day, I love the softness and beauty, Nina looked stunning!

The time had come to walk down the isle. With Tom stood patiently, seeing each other for the first time set off lots of happy emotions!

With the sun beaming outside it was time to congratulate the happy couple!

We managed to take lots of family photographs under the shade of the trees to shelter from the sun!

Not a cloud in the sky! The Villa made a lovely wedding venue.

Nina & Tom had decorated the room with a tea and biscuit theme! They had tea cups as favours and a biscuit tin for each table!

With everyone sat down it was time to listen to the speeches. Even the girls made a speech too!

With the sun lower in the sky we took Nina & Tom back out to get some photographs as Husband and Wife!

Nina had contacted me prior to their wedding to tell me about the big balloons she had ordered for the photos! They looked brilliant and the kids enjoyed them once we had finished too!

I have to take this opportunity to thank Nina and Tom for trusting us to climb over the gate and walk into this beautiful field for their photos. It was a challenge to get to but it was totally worth it for the end result. I hope you will agree!

Back at the venue the DJ had begun and it was time to cut the cake and have their first dance! With smiles all round it wasn’t hard to capture the happiness and love they both shared.

I really enjoyed photographing Nina & Tom’s Wedding. It was a pleasure to be part of your special day and capture lots of happy memories for you both.

A special thank you to Tracey who recommended my photography to the Bride and Groom.

Also another special thank you to Karli who assisted me with their wedding, your contribution, company and time was much appreciated.

Best wishes and enjoy your new life as Husband and Wife!
