{Philippa & Graham Chadwick} 1 June 2013 {Loweswater}

From previously meeting up with Philippa and Graham I knew their wedding was going to be different and special! After our initial meeting I visited them both at Philippa’s parents house and they showed me their wonderful wedding venue! I was wowed! It really was incredible. The countdown began!

From that meeting back in March the time just flew and it was soon the morning of their wedding. I started by getting some photographs of some of the special details including Phil’s handmade bouquet which she had made herself.

Philippa looked stunning as Sarah Rainford from the Beauty Rooms Cockermouth was applying her make up.

With most of the preparations done, Philippa stepped into her dress!

Once everyone was ready we went outside in the garden for some photos. Even the animals wanted to be included!

One amazing wedding venue!

It was lovely to capture some photographs of Phil and her proud Dad, especially as the venue meant so much to both of them!

As we walked down from the family house towards the waters edge the venue and guests were soon in sight.

When I arrived, Graham was waiting patiently listening out for the arrival of Phil on her very special transport!

Arriving in style and in true country fashion!

Throughout every moment of the day, whichever way you looked it was filled with happy faces!

The venue really did look amazing! With the weather on their side, Philippa & Graham were able to say “i do” beside the shore of Loweswater.

Graham’s friend, Mike took the role of Minister for the ceremony. With Phil and & Graham exchanging their own wedding vows and readings from close friends it really was beautiful.

Officially Mr & Mrs Chadwick, it was congratulations and hugs all round! 🙂

Using the hay bails from the ceremony it made a perfect place to get a big group photograph of all the guests together.

When talking to Phil & Graham before their wedding they said they didn’t want too many formal photos and most importantly wanted to have fun! So what better way to use the surroundings than getting in the water!!

Standing together showing off their beautiful venue!

One proud father of the bride with his wedding transport and punch!

With the sunlight streaming through the trees, we captured a few more photographs before setting off for a walk through the woods to the reception!

If I was going to use one photo to some up Graham & Philippa’s day I think it would be this one below. I absolutely love it and even more impressed by the fact that Phil & Graham just did it randomly!

With so many places to stop for photographs along the way, we often got a little left behind and had to catch the rest of the guests up! It was worth it though!

With a stop off on the way for a game of poo sticks and skimming stones – the day was filled with fun things for everyone to do and enjoy!

After the walk through the woods, Philippa & Graham drove their very special wedding car to arrive at their reception in style!

Loweswater Village Hall was their reception. The couple had decorated it themselves with a lovely vintage twist!

Each of the wedding guests got a pint or half pint glass as their wedding favour! With Loweswater Gold Ale on tap it was the perfect idea!

There were so many fun things and games for everyone to do. It was lovely to see all the guests having fun and enjoying themselves.

With the afternoon tea served it was time to sit back and listen…and photograph the speeches!

I love getting photos like this!

Hoping that the sun would sneak back out we went into one of the fields next to the village hall for some couple photos.

It was lovely shooting between the long grass and wild flowers.

Back at the reception and it was time for Philippa to throw her bouquet! Who’s going to be next…. 🙂

With pavlova being Graham’s favourite dessert, it was only right to have it for their cake! Can you see his excitement!

With the live band starting the evening entertainment, Graham & Philippa took to the dance floor for their first dance.

I was sad to leave Philippa &  Graham’s wedding, it was a truly spectacular day! With a portion of Fish & Chips from the van they had hired it was time for me to leave Loweswater.

Philippa & Graham’s wedding was like no other! So unique and a real pleasure to photograph. Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your day! Also a special thanks to Karli who second shooted for me and added to a huge collection of final photographs for the couple!

Best wishes for the future Mr & Mrs Chadwick!
