{Nicola & Andy Higginson} Duke Of Edinburgh, Barrow {7 September 2012}

It was only a couple of weeks before Nicola & Andy got married that I got a phone call from Lois (Nicola’s Friend) asking if I would be able to photograph their wedding….as a surprise!

After some planning with Lois it was agreed that I would meet them at the Nan Tait in Barrow on Friday 7th September to capture their special day.

It was strange to meet the Bride and Groom for the first time on their wedding day as I usually meet up with couples months before… but as soon as I arrived I knew it was going to be a intimate and relaxed day. Nicola & Andy knew that my style was very natural which suited them perfectly and allowed me to capture these lovely moments below.

I couldn’t share this blog without a photograph of Lois and also Nicola and all her girls!

Andy waits patiently for his beautiful bride and his soon to be mother in law to park the car…… 🙂

All throughout their vow’s Nicola and Andy couldn’t keep the smiles from their faces.

I absolutely love this photograph, it’s one of my favourites from 2012. This was the moment just after they were pronounced Husband and Wife!

Let’s not forget their beautiful daughter who was watching them closely as they signed the official register.

As we arrived at the Duke I captured a few photographs while Nicola & Andy weren’t looking!

Such a happy couple!

After a few photographs with friends and family it was time to sit down to a lovely meal. Nicola & Andy had spent a lot of time decorating the dining room and it looked lovely.

Here are a few of the small details from their reception….

I am so glad that Lois called me to organise the photographs for Nicola and Andy’s Wedding. It really was a lovely relaxed day and I hope you both enjoy looking back at your photographs for many years to come.

Best wishes and good luck with the arrival of your second child!
