~Laura & Phil Groves~ Crooklands, 7 July 2012

Back in February Laura & Phil emailed me to enquire about my Wedding Photography. As Laura described what she wanted from their photographer and their plans for there wedding day I knew it was going to be a intimate and special occasion. With only a few family members and friends with them to celebrate there wedding day it gave a very relaxed feel to the day. The couple enjoyed a short ceremony in Kendal Registry Office and then went onto the the Crooklands Hotel for photographs and a family meal. The sun shone and with the horrendous weather we had experienced up to their wedding date it was like a miracle.

I met Laura in the hotel before following her to the hairdressers to capture some photographs of her getting ready.

I love this photo of Laura just after getting her hair done – she looks so excited and pleased!

As the girls were getting ready, the Groom and his best man (and Son) enjoyed a few moment together outside.

Another of my favourite photographs from Laura & Phil’s day is this one below of Laura and her Dad just before she was about to become Mrs Groves

The registry office sadly didn’t allow many photographs during the ceremony but this sneeky shot of Laura signing the registrar really stands out.

And here are the happy couple, the new Mr & Mrs Groves with Jake – who loved the throwing of the confetti!

A photograph of all Laura & Phil’s guests outside the Registry Office before making our way to the Crooklands Hotel.

Below is another one of my favourite photographs. We chose to take some family and couples portraits down by the Canal and it made such a lovely backdrop. Even though Laura has her eyes closed in this photograph you can still see the happiness and love between them!

A lovely family portrait down by the Canal.

A cheeky kiss under the bridge made a lovely photo!

I am going to finish with another of my favourites – look at those happy smiles!

I would like to take the opportunity to thank both Laura and Phil for allowing me to capture their special day. Also to Laura for the lovely words and support with my photography work.

I wish you lots of happiness in your new capture as Husband and Wife, and maybe even to see you soon for some more family photos! 🙂
