{Liz & Chris Brennan} – 21 December 2011

When Liz & Chris first got in touch with me about taking photographs at their wedding I was sworn to secrecy as not many people knew about their special day. This was a hard task as living in a small town, if you told one person then everyone would know by lunch time! A couple of days later Edith, Liz’s daughter got in touch with me and we were able to share our excitement for their wedding day!

When I met up with Liz and Chris to discuss their wedding photography, they said the most important thing was for it to be fun and relaxed. With just a few formal group photographs to be taken in the church. I was looking forward to capturing each special moment.

As the guests arrived at the local pub, it was time for the Bride to arrive…. you can’t beat capturing that first moment a Bride & Groom see each other on their wedding day……

One of my favourite photographs from the whole day is the one below of the whole wedding party walking from the local pub down to the Church for the ceremony.

With the weather being kind to us, everyone enjoyed the short walk down the hill to Broughton Mills Church.

With the 7 minute walk from the pub to the church done the guests were congregating inside ready to Welcome Mr & Mrs Brennan…..

After the blessing we had a couple of group photographs in the church before  enjoying another short walk back up to the pub for the reception. The walk gave such a relaxed feel to the day, and with just a small amount of guests it felt very intimate and personal.

I love this photograph of Chris the Groom and his girls….

These photographs were taken just outside the church before the walk to the reception. These are my favourite photographs of Chris & Liz from their wedding day as you can see just how happy they both are.

On the walk back we took the opportunity to stop off at the little bridge for some photographs before returning to the Blacksmiths Arms.

After some wonderful food and a couple of hours relaxation in the local pub it was back to Broughton to share the moment with the locals!

Liz & Chris shared a wonderful day with all their close family and friends before meeting people from the village in the Manor Arms in the evening.Their entire day was made up of little happy moments and the sparkle never left their eyes.

I wish you both a happy life together as Mr & Mrs Brennan!
