Suzy & Darren {get married in loch lomond} Sept 2011

I’m sooo excited to share this blog with you. I have been looking forward to it from the day I took the wedding photos, and I was looking forward to the wedding since the day Suzy & Darren contacted me!

As soon as I arrived at Duck Bay Hotel at Loch Lomond, the view blew me away. I went out onto the decking to take my first photograph of the day….

The few weeks before Suzy & Darren’s wedding the weather had been wet, windy and generally feeling like summer had disappeared. I had messaged Suzy just a week before saying that I hoped the weather improved for their special day to which she replied :- it’s beautiful whatever the weather…I don’t really mind. However..when I walked into the Bridal suite where Suzy was getting ready she was so excited that it was such a perfect day and had rang her mum at 7am to tell her to look out the window!!

Joanne Suzy’s bridesmaid was travelling in the morning, and as soon as she arrived it was time to start getting ready.

Sometimes the little details can be forgotten, I just love this photo of Suzy’s flowers and the rings!

While the girls were busy getting ready the guys had other ideas…..

After a few relaxed photos we decided to take advantage of the brilliant location!

After getting the photographs of the guys it was time to meet back up with Suzy for a few last photos as Miss Lawson.

It was then time to become Mr.& Mrs Foote…. The ceremony was held in a beautiful room looking out onto the loch. The vicar was relaxed and made the service personal to Suzy & Darren. They then heard a reading from a close relative before saying their vows and signing the registar.

Some of my favourite photographs from Suzy & Darren’s wedding were taken in the ceremony, you can see how happy they both are and the laughter and fun they shared throughout their day.

After the official register was signed it was time for the new Mr & Mrs Foote to greet their guests as husband and wife.

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather to celebrate with welcome drinks outside on the terrace.

After a morning of trying to dodge my camera, I was so happy when I got this natural photograph of Jo, Suzy’s bridesmaid 🙂

What a venue….!

With some time before sitting down to eat we went out onto the jetty to get some group photos….

After spending some time outside taking in the wonderful scenery and getting some formal photos it was time to go back inside for a meal and speeches.

Although it’s hard to pick a favourite part of the day, I do love listening to the speeches. They bring with them so many emotions and expressions which are great to capture!

After the speeches it was time for Suzy & Darren’s first dance…. however one guest had other ideas!

You may be wondering what this guy is doing….. but this is the official “wasp dance”! With the weather hot and sunny the wasps were out and it was guaranteed that someone was going to get stung…. so right after this photograph was taken..yes you guessed it – I got stung!

I can definitely say this was one of my favourite weddings of 2011. From the moment Suzy & Darren contacted me I knew it was going to be a spectacular day. I just want to take this moment to thank Suzy & Darren for allowing me to be a part of their wedding day and choosing me to take their photographs. I’m actually quiet sad that it is all over now, but looking forward to creating their wedding albums so that they can treasure their photographs for many years to come.

I’m going to finish with a couple of photographs from their night doo back in Millom…..

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Foote!

When we booked our wedding in Loch Lomond we had a look at a few photographers in the area, sussed out their work and knew straight away that we needed to get Jenna to travel up there with us.

From the work we had seen of Jenna’s we loved her natural style and the way she just seemed to capture people’s mood and personality on camera so we gave her a call and she came for a chat. When she left we loved her even more, she is such a warm and friendly girl and we knew she was the right person to have around on our big day.

When the big day arrived we were not disappointed, Jenna just blended in and most of the time we didn’t even realise that she was taking photos which was exactly how we wanted it to be.

I could go on and on about how professional and genuinely nice Jenna is but all you need to do is look at her work and the fact that we asked her to come all the way to Loch Lomond with us says it all. Jenna is truly amazing at what she does and is a pleasure to have with you for the biggest moments of your life.

Lots of love and thankyou’s
Mr & Mrs Foote X
