{Denise & Alan Tomlinson} get married – 14 Sept 2011

Denise came to me at the start of this year enquiring about my wedding photography, I remember her explaining all about her wedding in September and that her husband to be was going to be working away and so she wouldn’t see him till just before their wedding day!

On a typical late summers day in September, Denise & Alan got married at the Waterhead Hotel in Coniston. Just weeks before, I met up with Denise at the venue to finalised the little details about her wedding photography. It was a warm sunny day and the venue and gardens looked amazing.

On Wednesday 14th September the sky was cloudy and the sun was trying to peek through. As I arrived and looked up to Coniston Old Man I loved the atmosphere that was forming over the mountain. With Denise still to arrive I captured a photo of Alan and his best man.

Shortly before 2pm Denise arrived with her two boys by her sides, ready to become the new Mrs Tomlinson.

As Alan and his guests were waiting patiently for the arrival of Denise…some members of the party were getting a little too impatient! 🙂

After a morning of getting ready, meeting guests and maybe a little bit of nerves it was time for Denise & Alan to become Husband and Wife…….

After the service, celebratory drinks were served while we waiting for the short shower of rain to pass.

After a few group photos it was time to take the new Mr & Mrs Tomlinson into the grounds of the Waterhead Hotel for some private photos.

I think this photo below is my favourite from the day. It shows how happy Denise and Alan were and the wonderful location which they chose to get married.

After managing to avoid the showers it was time to sit down to eat and listen to the speeches.

As you can see there were so many happy moments in Denise & Alan’s day which made it easy to capture each moment.

I really enjoyed photographing Denise & Alan’s wedding day, and was glad to be a part of it.

After the speeches I had to set off on my journey up to Scotland to photograph wedding number 2 in 2 days….

~

Thank you Denise for choosing me to photograph your special day, I wish you and Alan lots of happiness in your new life together as husband and wife.
