Jo & John Richardson {7 August 2011}

I remember the day that Jennie Robinson told me that her sister was getting married and that she and Mary were going to be bridesmaids. I also remember her saying I’ll pass your details onto my sister so that you can do the photography….

Now here I am one month after Jo & John’s wedding, blogging such a wonderful day and sharing some of their wedding photographs with you all.

On the morning of the wedding, all the girls were getting ready at Jo’s Mum and Dad’s house. With their hair all done I captured a few natural moments when the girls were doing there make up.

I could tell that Jo’s Mum and Dad’s house held lots of happy memories for Jo so it was important to get some photographs of everyone before leaving for the church…

It was then time for me to make my way to the church to meet John and his Ushers. When I arrived the guys seemed very organised, they stood eagerly waiting the bride with there matching pink umbrellas, hoping that the rain was going to stay away!

After all the guests had arrived it was time for Jo to be escorted by her Dad to the alter. When I initially spoke to Jo & John about their wedding photography they told me that most importantly they wanted the photographs to be natural. This photograph below captures Jo’s last few moments as Miss Bright.

Jo & John got married in Urswick Church and the service was brilliant! The vicar talked about Jo & John and their lives together with lot’s of special moments to be captured.

After a wonderful service it was time for the new Mr & Mrs Richardson to walk down the isle as husband and wife 🙂

There were a few moments that stuck in my mind about Jo & John’s wedding…As they both walked out of the church with everyone queing up to congratulate the new couple the sun made an appearance through the dark clouds.

Another vivid moment was when Jo & John were walking out of the church and turning back to their guest to say “come on…we are off to Clarence House for the party”!!!

We arrived at Clarence House were welcome drinks greeted us before sitting down to a beautiful meal.

As I have mentioned before In previous blog posts, the speeches are always one of my favourite parts of a wedding. Jo & John’s weren’t an exception. With lots of tails to be told, laughs to be shared and lists to be read out it made my job feel easy….

After the meal and speeches I went outside to take some more photos. The sun was shining and and it was a lovely summers evening.

There are so many photos that I could share with you, but I hope you have enjoyed looking at a small selection from Jo & John’s wedding. I’m going to finish with some from their first dance….

I really enjoyed photographing Jo & John’s wedding. They made me feel so welcome and I even stayed until midnight to enjoy the night doo with them!

I also want to thank Jennie for passing on my details as I wouldn’t have been part of it without you.

Congratulations again to Jo & John, it really was a truly wonderful day and I wish you all the best in your married life together.
