Patrick & Laurrie say {I do} – 4 July 2011

I have known Laurrie for a number of years back from when we were in the same year at school. It was a lovely surprise to hear from her back in 2010 about her wedding plans and now a year later I’m here to show you their photographs from a very special day.

On July 4th I set off to Laurrie’s parents house where I was greeted by a friendly smile. Things were well under way with bridesmaids rushing around getting their makeup done, hairdressers at the ready and even bacon buns being served! Anyone else would think it would be a mad frantic rush but Laurrie was one of the most relaxed brides I have met.

After a couple last family photos as Laurrie Mackie, it was time for me to go and meet the guys at the church.

It was then time for the arrival of the beautiful bride…. I love the photo of Laurrie giving Liam a thumbs up!

After a lovely service it was out into the blazing hot sun for some family photos at the church….

It was then time to make our way to Chequers Hotel in Dalton for the wedding reception.

I remember Laurrie saying to me the morning of her wedding,  “everything is going to plan…but I just hope it doesn’t rain”…. Well there defiantly wasn’t a chance of that, the sun was out and so was the sun tan lotion. When I met up with Patrick and Laurrie to show their wedding photographs Laurrie said she got more of a sun tan on her wedding day than on honeymoon!

After a few more group photos and welcome drinks it was time for the speeches. This is one of my favourite parts of the wedding to photograph as all the photographs are natural and are usually full of emotion and expression!

After a lovely meal it was time for the evening entertainment…. Or drinking games for some tables….

I had so much fun photographing Laurrie & Patrick’s wedding, I hope you can see from their photographs what a lovely day they had and shared. I wish you lots of happiness in your new lives together as MR & MRS SHEPHARD.

Don’t forget to check back for a sneak peek of their wedding album which I will be posting up in a few days.
