{ Scott & Liza Get Married } 28th May 2011

Before my initial meeting with Liza and Scott I had never met them before. My photography was recommend by Dennis Wood who had seen me photographing a previous wedding. I first met Liza at her Mum and Dad’s house were we discussed the wedding photography for their special day. They made me feel so welcome in their home and I knew that photographing their wedding was going to be natural and fun!

Liza and Scott decided to have a pre wedding shoot in their wedding package. On a hot sunny day in April we went to Furness Abbey to take the photographs. I hadn’t been inside Furness Abbey for a number of years so the week before I drove past to get some ideas for the photographs. Once I had seen the location I had lots of ideas in mind for different posed and natural photographs that we could take on the day. BUT….. when meeting up on the day Scott mentioned to me that when he enquired they informed them it was going to be £100…yes 100 whole English pounds to enter and take the photographs in the grounds. So, we made excellent use of the external grounds and spent most of the shoot discussing how ridiculous the price was! Oh…and we did manage to get some lovely photos of the bride and groom to be…

When I first woke up on the morning of Saturday 28th May it was cloudy and raining….. as I frantically got ready I had my iPhone refreshing the weather updates. By the time I arrived at Liza’s Mum and Dads house the rain had stopped and Liza was getting ready for her special day.

As Liza and her Bridesmaids were getting ready, Scott was waiting patiently at the venue.

After the waiting was over it was time for Liza Garbacz to become to new Mrs Butler.

With the rain nowhere to be seen  it was outside for the group photos, followed by some entertaining speeches.

The attention of the night doo was somewhat taken away by the football match that was being shown…. Who knew there would be such a celebration when Barcelona won?

Also part of Liza and Scott’s wedding package I created a wedding guest book with all the pre wedding photographs that were taken at Furness Abbey. It was great for family and friends leaving their special messages.

By the end of the evening I felt like I had become Liza and Scott friends, they often came to ask if I was ok and made me feel welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing their wedding and want to say thank you for being such a lovely and friendly bride and groom. All the best for the future.
